PARADES

Parade was first installed as part of the 2013 Turning and Unraveling exhibition sponsorted by 350vt.org and held at the Goddard Gallery in Montpelier, Vt. Thirty sculptures were set on white pedestals dia-angling through the gallery in descending order at an angle.

In September 2013, it was invited as the featured visual artwork at the Burlington Book Festival, exhibited at Arts Riot on Pine Street in Burlington. Here, the now forty sculptures were set on cardboard boxes, their own packing crates, which angled across the industrial space from the stage to the entry. The first small Red Guys (working title) joined the Parade, moving down from their hanging nest.

In January 2014, at Living Learning Center (The University of Vermont) I collaborated with Janet Van Fleet. We joined our two parades in a small white box gallery on campus.

For Open Studios in 2013, the creatures were hung from the ceiling on monofilament and exhibited on the walls.
